Lewis and Betty Nolan of Memphis, TN, have long enjoyed travel. As Vice President of Communications at Schering-Plough Health Care Products until his early retirement in 1996, Lewis traveled on business a great deal. Betty taught culinary arts in a Memphis high school until her retirement in 2007. Her long summer holidays and his company’s liberal vacation policy afforded them time to visit much of the United States and many other countries. During their travels, Betty took photos and Lewis took notes.

This site recounts their longer trips – to Europe, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and elsewhere. A sister site, Nolan Travels: Getaways, recounts shorter trips to places like Nashville, TN; Washington, D.C.; Gulf Shores, AL; West Point, MS, Sacramento, California  and Tubac, Arizona. Getaways 2010 records their short trips

in 2010 and beyond.

Additional photos from recent trips to Boston, the Ozark Mountains, and Gulf Shores, AL are posted at http://kodakgallery.com, sign in and search required.

Lewis has also written a book on his family history. See Nolan-Miller Family History for this fascinating account.
